Body Science CLA and is a naturally occurring free fatty acid sourced from natural plant oil (Safflower Seed Oil). In a 1 year study the health benefits of CLA are reported as reducing fat and preserving muscle tissue (Gaullier et al., 2004). A recent study compared the one-year effect of CLA on overweight individuals with a BMI of 25-30 which is borderline obese. Results indicated a reduction in body fat mass and a greater lean body mass (Gaullier et al., 2004). The authors concluded that long-term supplementation with CLA reduces body fat mass in healthy overweight adults.
